These have just arrived in-store and being a big fan of the traditional Field Notes notebooks I picked one up for myself today.
As you can see it's design cues are faithful to notebooks albeit with a much more rigid construction, the solid cardboard cover and backing is almost 3mm thick making the whole package feel very solid.
As it helpfully says on the cover the dimensions are 6" wide by 9" high (around 15cm wide by 23cm high) which makes it both very portable yet large enough for both note-taking and sketching.
Inside the pages are "Gregg Ruled" which I take to mean traditional horizontal lines with a single vertical line bisecting the page. Ideal for making lists.
Never one to waste a cool utility and messaging function both the inside of the front and back covers are filled with useful, eclectic and quirky information ranging from the Field Notes story, to "A Brief History of Stenography" and advice on how to survive a paper cut.
Most usefully, on the inside of the back cover there are rulers denominated in both cm and inches.
In short a great addition to our stationary range that's more than worthy of the Field Notes name.
